About
Reconciliation is not a destination but a resting place on our journey with Jesus. Reconciliation with God is the pathway to living into the new relationship that we have with Him through Jesus Christ, John 15:15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. (ESV) And as we live into this truth, and continue on our journey with Jesus, we then become reconcilers. This is illuminated for us in 2 Corinthians 5:17-18: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling, the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
As we journey through Living Reconciliation, our leaders will help us to fully understand what this means to us individually, relationally and then community-wide. There will be an opportunity for personal reflection, lively group discussion, interactive exercises, and confession. The retreat will conclude with a worship service to include communion.
