Facing Life's Losses for Facilitators
Life is full of painful losses that must be grieved, but many of us have found that our culture does not welcome grief nor supply the support we need to face the pain and let it go. This interactive workshop looks at what we grieve, how we grieve, how to move through the process of grieving including journaling with God about our regrets, our need to forgive and any anger we may be feeling. We will learn how, when ready, to surrender our grief to God.
In this 12-week class we will be reading passages from A Grace Disguised: How the Soul Grows through Loss by Jerry L. Sittser (reading the entire book is recommended).
The purpose of this group is to take a group of leaders through the material so that they gain capacity by experientially processing their own losses and are better prepared to lead others through the process. You do not need to commit to teaching the material to others before taking the class, but we are hoping you will want to when you are finished. A second purpose is to give Betsy feedback about the material.
Space is limited. Register soon. We anticipate a full roster! Tuition is $125 and includes all materials.
It costs HCI an estimated $3600 to run the class. We always want to bless our leaders by offering classes to you at a discount, but we ask you to pray about giving a donation to allow us to continue mentoring leaders.
