The Class
Belonging offers a safe, interactive, experiential approach to building joyful community, focusing strategically on improving group interactions and healing, as well as reducing pain of previous rejection. Belonging allows participants who may have experienced painful patterns of interaction or rejection to practice forming healthy attachments. A second level in the Life Model course series (either Forming or Restarting is a prerequisite), Belonging is for people who want to develop and strengthen their personal style of creating belonging and joyful community with those around them, whether at work, in church or in other areas of life.
In this 12-week class, you will learn what it means to comfort and quiet yourself when in distress, build appreciation with others, learn when to stop so that you don’t overwhelm others and hear God more clearly. In Belonging, you also will learn about discoveries in neuroscience that explain and resolve cravings, letting you return to a state of peace. The Belonging class entails a video series and small groups led by experienced coordinators to practice creating a sense of belonging for each other from week to week.
