Forming
Forming is a fresh, life-giving approach to spiritual growth and restoration that may be very different from what you have tried before. Instead of relying on your willpower and self-effort to bring about change in your life, we help you build a relationship with God that has enough substance to change you from the inside out. An entrance to the Life Model course series, Forming is for people who want to grow in their spiritual maturity by engaging at deeper levels with God.
In this 12-week class, you will learn to engage with God and live from your true heart through a video series and time for quieting, listening and journaling, instead of continually striving to go, go, go and do, do, do. To use a metaphor, instead of rowing against the current of our inner life, in an effort to do what we think is right, Forming teaches us how to align our sails with the Holy Spirit so that we engage with God to change the direction of our hearts so that we can go places we never could get to by rowing alone. In Forming, you will engage with Scripture, your past and present experiences, and your emotions in healthy ways to reveal truths you may not realize are there.

Kristin Leahy
Kristin first took the Forming class about five years ago. It so transformed her own life that she decided to assist with two other Forming classes. Kristin has found that she has grown more each time she’s gone through the Forming material and is excited to now be co-leading a class. While she has participated in a number of other HCI classes, Forming remains a foundational favorite.
Kristin and her husband Chris have been married for 26 years and have two college-age children, Katherine and Jack. Before raising her kids, Kristin attended Duke University and worked in the publishing industry. She and Chris are now enjoying their newly empty nest.
Judy Wiles
My name is Judy Wiles. I'm simply a child of God and have been on this journey of spiritual formation since I was 8 years old. I came into a much deeper faith in my forties and began to long to help others find this rich life in Christ. At that time, I was helped by John Eldredge, Dallas Willard, John Ortberg, and a devoted friend and mentor. I discovered Life Model and HCI in 2020 through Jim Wilder's book Renovated. Their work helped bridge some gaps in my faith walk tied to insecurity and anxiety. I'm thankful to say I'm finding real breakthrough through Life Model and want to keep learning more! Forming was a formative catalyst of healing and growth for me, and I want others to find the same! I've worked as a Children's Ministry Director for 11 years, led numerous Women's Ministry Groups, and had training as a Christian Parent Coach. Ultimately, I love working with people and enjoy the privilege of coming along beside them as they seek to grow in their life with God.
